Beware when buying a new nest

I bought a nest 1 and 2 actually 3 of them.  The main reason I bought them is so I can turn them on/off from my bead.

Now that the executives at Nest have decided to disable all the gen 1 and 2 customers mobile ability because they want to force us to upgrade into their new devices.

A sure way for them to get their Christmas bonus.  They were so gracious they offered a discount.

I will never buy a nest product again!

If you are about to commit to the nest ecosystem, understand what you are getting into.  If they can remove a feature to force you into an upgrade, they will!

Same here, disgusting business practice.

I wonder if someone isn't thinking about bringing a class action law suit that we could participate in.

Anyone interested in participating?

If anyone is looking to get made whole, here is a link to a class action lawsuit that is coming for Gen 1 and 2 users.
