Blank display on Nest thermostat

Have series 3 Nest Learning thermostat that won’t hold a charge. It tries to restart after Google symbol but then reverts to blinking red light with no display. Have filed warranty claim form 7/15/23 with coverage ‘til 7/22/23 but NO RESPONSE. What to do? Help!

Is this the first time you're installing the thermostat or have you had it for some time?

You can refer to the "1. Blinking red light on your thermostat" section of the article below for help troubleshooting, especially if you charge the thermostat and the blinking red light doesn't go away or comes back again.

  2. Select "Thermostats", type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
  3. Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
  4. Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.
