Nest thermostat ghost touches

My google nest thermostat is registering ghost touches.  It turns the temperature up and down, puts on holds, changes to heat, etc. With no one touching it. No idea how to stop it.

I am having the exact same issue. I have two learning thermostats and at random times it is showing my house go from away to home and the activity is touch on the device. I have restarted them multiple times. Still keeps happening. So frustrating

If you've already tried restarting the thermostat and the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting the Google Nest support team directly. They'll be able to advise on next steps and possible options.

1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
2. Select "Thermostats", type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
4. Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.
