My brand new nest thermostat will not connect to the nest app. I get to the finishing step and it takes forever then I receive an error message. I have another nest thermostat that I purchase in early 2022 and the same thing is happening. I've tried everything. Hot spot connect, 2.4 band wifi network, reset, factory reset (error code TD009 (18.1). I am really disappointed in google and this equipment. The things are like $400 a piece and it billed as an easy setup and nothing works to set it up. I do use a dual band Deco mesh network, and have no trouble with any of my other devices.

Hi PtDanT,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your Nest Thermostat. To isolate the issue, could you try rebooting your Nest Thermostat, router and phone?
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Edward

Hello Jake,
I tried rebooting everything. I've tried all the fixes I've read about online. I have a feeling it's related to the DECO Mesh network routers I'm using. I tried tweaking these setting based on the error codes received, and it doesn't work either. Honestly, my next solution is to purchase Google Routers and see if that works. It would be nice to be able to use the Nest features.
Best,
Dan
