Hello, I have a new 3rd gen....with a 4yr old trane furnace. Very simple. Here.
1. Does this thermostat have early on?
2. I schedule my heat to be at 68 at 6am daily. Woke up and it's at 67 indoor and didn't click on. I do not use routines or proximity thing with my phone. It's not even set up. Now is it normal to be 1 or 2 degrees off? Should I change it to like 70 and see what happens? Help please.

Well the next morning....it clicked on at 545 and hit 68 by 6am so I guess it was still figuring out my HVAC system ....all is well now....

1. By "early on", do you mean a feature that calls for heat early enough to get up to your desired temperature at your desired time? If so, see https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9250165?hl=en, describing the True Radiant feature.
2. Do you mean that the Nest reads 67 but is not calling for heat even though it knows it's supposed to achieve 68? Other posters have had that same question, so you could search. I would try experimenting with the Nest, as you suggest. For example if you find that it's 67 (against a schedule of 68), can you get it to click on by twirling the dial up to 70?

Hey Smarthomeguy75,
Thanks for the update.
It is right, your Nest thermostat is still in the process of remembering and knowing how long and when to reach a target temperature or any schedule. Please observe how it is going to behave for the next couple of days and let us know how it goes.
Thanks for your help, CBFox.
Best regards,
Ryan
