Breaker Trips/Burning Smell after installing Nest 3rd Gen - HELP!!

Good morning, all - I'm in limbo land - I recently moved over to a 3rd Gen Nest Thermostat from a Honeywell unit.  All "seemed" to be going well until the breaker began tripping intermittently, and now I have REAL concerns b/c I'm smelling a burning odor and the breaker panel is HOT!  Hoping someone from this community can help me quickly resolve my issue.  Thank you in advance.

Context:

Trane Furnace

Air-to-air heat pump

1 stage cool/2 stage heat (heat pump & electric)

3rd gen Nest Thermostat

I'm not seeing a way to upload reference photos of the wiring layout - before and after - can someone jump in to assist?  Thanks community!

I’ve programmed * for emergency heating.  Was x2 in prior wiring arrangement on Honeywell unit.

The breaker keeps tripping and I’m hoping that this community can help me understand what I may or maybe not be doing properly with the Nest wiring.  Thanks again!

Honeywell wiring configuration:

Y2 - Brown wire

X2 - Black

W1 - White

RC/R - Red with jumper

O - Orange

Y - Yellow

G - Green

B - Blue

It looks like your wiring is mostly correct, I would make two changes.

Move the White (W1) wire to W2 and set it as AUX heat.

Move the Red (Rh) wire to Rc.

I would also suggest disconnecting all of the wire from the Nest base plate, powering the System back on, and seeing if it still trips the breaker.

Any reason for the move from RH to RC?  I assumed they were interchangeable.  Thanks so much for the assist. It’s GREATLY appreciated
