We have two baseboard heaters, each with a 24 volt transformer. Two wires to the single thermostat. With the old thermostat, no issues, both heaters can be operated from the one thermostat. The c wire connector is installed on one transformer, but only that baseboard heater is operating with the Nest thermostat. Looking for a solution to get both heaters operating together.

Hello Ferryland,
Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like you're facing a wiring challenge with your Nest Thermostat and two baseboard heaters. Since the old thermostat worked fine with both heaters, the issue might be related to the wiring configuration with the Nest Thermostat. Let's sort this out!
Ensure that the C wire from the Nest Thermostat is securely connected to the transformer that powers both heaters. If the C wire is only connected to one transformer, it might explain why only one heater is operating. The C wire provides a continuous power supply, and both heaters should be connected to it for proper functionality.
If you've already ensured that the C wire is connected to the correct transformer and the issue persists, double-check the thermostat's compatibility with your heating system. Nest Thermostats usually work well with a variety of systems, but it's worth confirming that your specific setup is supported. You may also want to check the thermostat settings to ensure that it's configured correctly for a multi-zone system. Nest Thermostats can be set up to control multiple heating zones, and you might need to adjust the settings to accommodate your two baseboard heaters.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Mark
