C wire not connected

All the wires are connected to their places, but on google home it keeps saying C wire not connected. I tried to take it out & put it back in again still getting the same error. Did anyone else have the same issue?

Hi, Nest thermostat , when i tried to connect my thermostat to google home it keeps saying wire C not connected. Thermostat was already set up. And yes C wire is connected.

Based on the information you've provided, it seems like updating your thermostat's wiring configuration might be necessary. Let's walk through the process together:

 

  • open the Google Home app
  • Tap the thermostat
  • Tap Settings 
  • Tap wiring, when you tap wiring you can check the thermostat's wiring configuration.
  • You should see an option to "Update Wiring." Tap on that and follow the on-screen instructions provided by the app.

Hi, device is not added to my google home to restart the thermostat, also can’t even access the setting from the Thermostat to reboot tha thermostat.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay.

 

It seems your Nest thermostat isn't currently set up in the Google Home app. To set it up, open the Home app and follow these steps:

  • You'll be prompted to choose either "New setup" or "Already set up." Select "New setup" and follow the on-screen instructions provided by the app.
  • If the app doesn't detect a C wire during setup, tap "Continue without C wire" and follow the additional instructions I provided in my previous message.
