Can't access thermostat on app

Couldn't sign onto my Nest app and was forced to sign on through Google. Now I can't get my app to access my thermostat. I tried to add it but it asks for a code. When using the thermostat it says it's already set up.

On the back of the thermostat under the QR code is a 6 digit pass key... Fingers crossed it will work for you..

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for the input, Bozboy.

@DDanner, I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're facing with your Nest app and thermostat setup. I understand your situation of being locked out of your app and unable to access your thermostat properly.

It seems like there might be a disconnect between your Nest app and your thermostat's setup status. One possible solution could be to try signing in with the two options "Sign in with Nest" or "Sign in with Google." If none of the options work, make sure you are trying to login with the right email address associated with your Nest Thermostat. Since it's saying the thermostat is already set up, you might need to reset the connection and re-establish it.

Here are a few steps you could try:

  1. There might be some permissions or settings within your Google account that are affecting the connection to your Nest devices. Double-check your account settings to ensure everything is configured correctly.
  2. Reinstall the Nest app and make sure to enable the permissions needed for accessing the app.
  3. Try to login to the Nest Web App using your email credentials.
  4. If the issue persists, reset the Account Connection in the reset settings, manually reconnect the thermostat to the Wi-Fi network, and proceed by adding it to the Nest app.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
Mark
