Can’t add nest thermostat to google home application

Changed network and can’t connect nest thermostat to WiFi. Can’t see the device or add it to my Nest account or in my google home account. Tried resetting, reinstalling and can’t add the device back to my account.

If following those steps didn't work, you mentioned you already reset the thermostat? Was that by going to Settings > Factory Reset on the thermostat itself (not in the app)? Once reset, you can set it up again with your new Wi-Fi network.

I have followed those steps. I have also restarted the thermostat. The problem is no matter what I do, I can’t get google home app to see/discover my Nest thermostat. I restarted my network after resetting the thermostat.  I attempted to add the thermostat as if it were new. I also tried adding it to the Nest application. I have made sure that all the applications are up to date (google home and nest.).  To complicate the problem, I have a new iPhone.

I know the model of my thermostat. That is not the problem. I have scanned the QR code on my thermostat several times to reinstall manually.

Would you mind telling us the model? The troubleshooting steps are different depending on the model of thermostat you have, that's the reason for asking.

I did the reset to factory settings and that resolved my issues.  Thanks

I reset the thermostat by going to Settings > Factory Reset as described but I still get the error "Something is wrong We're having trouble loading data for your home" every time I try to add the device in the Home app.

I am having the exact same issue, with the exact same device. I have installed the Nest Thermostat successfully, and it is connected to Wifi, and on the device it says it's connected to my account. However the Google Home app will not detect the device, as stated in step 5 of these instructions.

No troubleshooting steps work, including multiple resets to factory settings, multiple restarts of modem and router, and uninstalling and reinstalling the Home app. In the Home app, it always gets to the "Finishing up This could take a while." screen then goes to "Something is wrong We're having trouble loading data for your home."

None of the troubleshooting tips I have found so far work. So while I'm able to use the thermostat manually, I cannot connect it to the app and therefore cannot use the app or voice commands to control the thermostat. Any suggestions are appreciated.
