Can’t complete set up

When I try to complete the menu, thermostat says it needs to restart and will

be back in a few minutes.  This has been happening for 6 hours.  What is wrong? How can I get past this ?

Rather than waste your time on this place, you could always ring Nest!

Try this, remove display from wall, plug usb into the usb port on the back, and leave for a good 90 mins. Keep usb plugged in, then squeeze the display like you would a hamburger until the house comes on. You may get the words 'refit to base', ignore, then do it again. Then refit back on the wall, and see what happens.

Failing that, if you would like heat, I would ring them!!
