We have moved into a house that has a nest thermostat. I have downloaded the app and tried to connect but when I go to nest app Within the thermostat as directed by the app It says ‘this thermostat is connected to an account’. How do I connect to it so I can control the heating when we are out? Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.
It's possible that the Nest Thermostat is already added to the account of the previous owner. You'll need to perform a complete factory reset of the thermostat then set it up and add it to your own account.
Here's the link on how to reset your thermostat.
Once you're done with reset, you'll need to add it to your account if you're using one of the thermostat in this link.
