Nest E, 1st gen works intermittently after update 6.2-27 with error code e195

My Nest E, 1st gen works intermittently after update 6.2-27 with error code e195. We have did all the trouble shooting for it and still no change. It started acting funny soon after update and now completely horrible. Do you know anything else to try?

Troubleshoot we’ve tried:

Check wiring, check float switch, check drip pan, check breaker switch, reset it, restart it.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I see that you've already tried some steps to resolve this. I'd love to know more about what's happening and I have a few questions:

 

  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • Is it usually hot when the issue started?
  • Have you checked the fuse of your HVAC?

You can also try to use a volt meter if there is power on your R wire.

I finally figured it out. I took a wet vac and hooked up outside to drain pipe and I guess it was clogged a little bit. The wet vac sucked out some gross looking particles and AC has been working awesome.
