Can’t find WiFi with Nest Learning Thermostat

GregV

My nest will can no longer find my network! It has worked fine for several years and suddenly stopped! Each time I try it says it can’t find a network! I’ve tried reset,, removed device (mistake) and tried to reinstall, no success!

@GregV , this sounds like your Wi-Fi chip and your display has failed. Unfortunately, you’re gonna have to purchase a replacement thermostat at this time As this is not a serviceable part.

Hi  GregV,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this situation with the WiFi connection on your Nest thermostat. Don't worry; help is here. In this case, I just need to ask for some information to provide the best solution for this situation:

  1. What Nest thermostat model do you have?
  2. Does the thermostat display show any error codes or messages?
  3. Are you trying to connect to the 2.4 GHz or the 5 GHz network?"
  4. Can your other Wi-Fi-capable devices (phone, tablet, computer) connect to the internet through your Wi-Fi network?
  5. Has your thermostat ever connected to your network?
  6. How far away is the thermostat from the router?
  7.

Once I have this information, we can proceed with the best solution.

Please keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenny
