Hi all, Is there a way to turn off "Home and Away assist"? I'd like to continue using scheduling w/o the Nest needing to detect whether I'm here or not.
BTW: I've already de-actived the phone sensing setting to trigger home and away. I left the motion detection on to turn on the Nest screen display. Now, after a few hours it thinks I'm away until I stand in front of the Nest. Thanks for any help!

Hi Honu143,
Thanks for posting ― let's get this sorted out.
A few questions: what Nest Thermostat do you have? Check this link to know what thermostat you have. Since when has this been happening?
Best,
Mel

Hi, Sorry, I didn't see that there were any replies. I have the basic Nest thermostat. I'm not sure exactly when the problem started but I don't think it was happening until probably a week before I posted my question. Thanks!

Hi Honu143,
Thanks for the update. Give these steps a try:
Open the Nest app.
Tap Settings.
Select Home/Away Assist.
Choose What decides if you’re home.
Toggle off all the options.
Let us know if that helps with the issue. We'll wait for your update.
Regards,
Abi

It appears so. Gotta say, I really like being able to adjust the thermostat from my phone so easily - now that I'm learning how the ins and outs. Thanks!
