Cannot change Nest thermostat mode from Alexa

I can change the temperature on my Nest Thermostat with Alexa but it does not change the Mode. Alexa asks "What do you mean by "cool"?

I see  few similar questions in this board, but left without answers, and I don't have any Ways talking to live person in Google support to discuss the issue

Alexa set the " my thermostat name"  to Cool mode

. Alexa asks "What do you mean by "cool"?

Any ideas?

thank you very much for your reply, I have gone through this path multiple times. Unfortunately, it keeps looping back to google nest website and working with virtual assistant. There is no way to get to an option which contact us leads me to contact google support and talk to live customer support., I am sure you are aware how it works . Very poor customer support for Google nest.

Uh-oh! We're sorry for the trouble. Have you tried to use another phone either an iOS or an Android? If so, does it also bounce you back to the Google Nest website?
