When my home contractor installed my new nest he only set up heating. When yo go to mode it only shows heat and off. How do I add cooling to the modes?

Drateam,
Can up load a picture of your nest backplate showing the wires? There are couple of things that get set up. First the equipment and its type. For example, Heat Pump or Air Conditioner and a Forced Air Furnace. The second item is the Heating and Cooling schedule, if you choose to use them.
We need to verify your equipment type. And as I said, upload a picture of the Nest Backplate showing the connected wires..

Hi everyone,
@drsteam, I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. Were you able to make your Nest Thermostat detect your cooling system? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.
I appreciate the help, CoolingWizard.
Best,
Emerson

Drsteam,
You post to request needing help a week ago, I gave your response to do my best to help you, and you have not replied whatsoever. If we can get the information we asked for we could help you set up your cooling system. Out of curiosity why have you not responded? If we don’t get a response, the administrators will lock your thread.

Hello there,
Thanks for the continued help, @CoolingWizard.
@drsteam, In addition to what was shared above, you can verify if the cooling wire is installed in your Nest Thermostat base. Remove the display from its base and ensure that the wires are properly connected and the tabs are pushed down. Once checked, restart your thermostat to refresh and check the temperature modes.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Mark
