Changes temp by itself

Seems this comes up a lot in here but I haven’t seen the answer to make it stop. Nest will not stay at the temp I set. Happens on heating and cooling both. Pops up that it’s “Peak time” - but happens ALL the time. 2am is not peak time for A/C and even if it was, I have no settings I can find that I have allowed it to change on its own. Need a real fix quick or this thing needs to go in the trash.

Your options for this depend on the model of thermostat you have.

Nest Thermostat (2020)
Hold the temperature on the Nest Thermostat - Google Nest Help

Nest  Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat

  1. Open the Google Nest app.
  2. Select your thermostat.
  3. Select the Mode option in the lower left and set the mode to Heat/Cool.
  4. Select the Eco option in the lower center and end Eco Temperatures on all thermostats.

If you also want to stop it adjusting based on home/away assist and the auto-schedule features, select the settings icon in the upper right and turn off the Home/Away Assist and Auto-Schedule options.

Hello folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for looking into this, @David_K.

@Kll, in addition to what was shared above. If you have a Google Home app, please check the Routines feature or settings and see if there are any thermostat actions that may trigger the temperature change. Remove or edit if needed.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark
