Changing owner of Nest thermostat

Anneoffice

Hi,

We are moving away from the house, the Nest thermostat is on our account, we are stopping the wifi as well, what do we need to do to get out of the Nest so that the new owner can take over and set up his own account?

Many thanks!

Anne

Good chance you have a Thermostat E or the Learning Thermostat 3 gen or ealier.

You can use the Factory Reset procedure for those thermostats

Hi Patrick,

Thanks for the update. However, I only have a Nest App and have no clue which type of Nest it is. I guess from before 2018.

Any tips in this case?

Many thanks
