Having difficulty with nest telling me where to put the wires. Here is my old thermostat:
We have a heat exchanger for the AC on the outside of the house. Does this mean I have a heat pump? Thanks

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with setting up your Nest Thermostat. Could you tell us the make and model of your outside unit so we can take a closer look?
Thanks,

Hi Lever3000,
Thanks for the response. Upon checking the model of your outside unit, it is indeed a heat pump. I would suggest checking the control board of your HVAC system to check the B wire on your current thermostat. In some cases, it is a C wire but I highly recommend checking the control board to make sure.
Thanks,
Edward

Hi Lever3000,
Thanks for sharing the photo. It looks like the blue wire is connected to the C terminal on your board so I'd suggest connecting it to the C terminal on your Nest Thermostat.
Thanks,
Edward
