Connecting replacement display to existing Heatlink

Hi,

I had trouble with my Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd Gen as it stopped connecting to my internet. On chatting to google customer service they've sent me a replacement device and said I only need to replace the display but I am not sure how to do this. Everything else seems to be working fine (i.e. heatlink is hardwired and working fine, display stand, USB etc.). So, if I only need to replace the display device, what do I need to do?

Hi there and thanks for reaching our Community. In order to replace the display, you need to factory reset it, then remove it from the base so you can install the new one.

Hi, thank you for checking. I was able to resolve it by calling customer support who walked me through the process.
