Need help here. I had a oil based boiler that I converted to an electric boiler. My previous thermostat was an old mercury switch thermostat. So when it came time to power up the boiler, the mercury switch thermostat would basically close the circuit and power up the boiler. I want to use a Nest thermostat but can't figure out how to use the 24V transformer from the electric boiler to power the Nest and not have the Nest operate in a power stealing mode. I changed the wiring from a 2 wire cable to a 18/5 cable. Has anyone figured this out?
Thanks

Hello Lavio,
We're thrilled that you're interested in our Nest Thermostat! I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.
To check your system's configuration, can you share with us a picture of your old thermostat and Nest Thermostat's wiring setup? From what country are you posting? Also, a picture of your system control panel would be a big help.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
