I created a preset to pre-warm my house at 2:00 pm before the higher-rate peak energy charge kicks in at 3 pm. The problem is I can't figure out how to set a beginning and ending time for this. Is there a trick to changing both temperature AND time? Thanks for any help.

On the Nest's schedule, each set point is in effect until the next set point. So to get the heat to run from 2:00 to 3:00 and then run less or not at all, create a high-temperature preset and schedule it for 2:00, and create a low-temperature preset and schedule it for 3:00. After 3:00, the Nest will fire up the heat only if it's needed to maintain that low temperature target.
