Hey guys,
I've been looking left and right as to how to fix my issue with the thermostat. Initially I had the thermostat connected without any issues, used the existing cables. The ones im using right now is the Y1, W1 & Rc. Since I am new to the whole connection I assumed it was a plug and play. I did the compatibility check and it went alright. When I installed the thermostat everything went well, but then i started noticing that there was a delay message while cooling on the screen so i searched it up and found that I needed the C wire. Since that is the continuous power source for the thermostat not to show the delay message. There is no C wire connected from the mother board so I did a bit more research as to what other options I had in order to give the thermostat a continuous power without actually connecting an ugly cable ran through the outside. So I stumbled upon the Nest Power Connector which stated that with THAT I did not need a C wire connection in order to give it the 24V that it needs. I purchased it, plugged in to the connectors that it needs to be according to the diagram and instructions. I have no error messages regarding power or any of that sort. But I still see the delay message from time to time. Which means that it turns off the AC for a while, which then means that the house gets hot again and it takes forever to cool down. I live in FL and during the summer time as much of you guys will know the heat gets unbearable. Is there any options for me to try out, settings, tests, anything. I cant believe that a $300 thermostat isnt cutting it....when a Honeywell cheapy thermostat will do the trick. Please help!
Thanks guys.

Hey Jeank55,
I understand how you feel about this and thanks for the detailed description of your concern. I want to dig deeper into this.
A few questions — what specific Nest thermostat do you have? Could you share a photo of your original thermostat wires as well as how you wired your Nest one? Also, when was the last time that your system was seen by a professional maintenance guy?
Please try as well the suggestions below:
Keep me posted.
