Desplayed outside temp off -10°

Please do not lock this conversation. It may take me sev weeks to view and reply to your questions. Again, Ty in advance for NOT locking this conversation.

My zip code is indeed entered correctly. While I understand that you may respond to my request by stating that my out side temperature does not matter I still would like to know why Nest (Google) reports my outside temp lower than it actually is; always less -10°. Why in the age of “digital accuracy” is Nest (Google) off my exactly -10°?

Again, please do not lock this conversation. I will let you know when this communiqué is over. Thanks.

Better still, let me know if I need to enter a Palm Springs zip code that is +10° higher than my zip code. Or, fix the data on your end.

What city does it say on the weather info screen?

It uses the internet and Google weather to show current temperature outside.

Compare to your phone weather info.

My city is correctly displayed, as well as my Zip Code. It’s the actual TEMPERATURE that is constantly OFF NEGATIVE-10°.

If the -10° Discrepancy DOES NOT matter, …why not simply fix this bug and inaccuracy?

Hi folks,

I wanted to stop by to see how I could help.

Thanks for the assistance, @Houptee.

@TargetsMove, I appreciate that you've tried to find a fix. Let's sort this out.

To clarify, are you getting the -10 degree reading on the Temperature screen or on the Quick View menu? Please take a look at this article and let us know if you need more help.

Best regards,

Mark

Temp screen. My message wasn’t clear? This issue is widespread. Please let me know *if* it is possible to get my outdoor temp, that is liked to my property zip code, to report accurately. Thank you.

No. Marks response was garbage. apparently this issue is widespread and there’s clearly a bug. Let me know if you are aware of this massive bug. Any other response is a waist of time. Thank you

Hi Jake, No. My outside temp is inaccurate by 10°. This seems to be a widespread issue not ever resolved by Nest. Yes, I’m case you ask, I did indeed correctly input my zip code.

It’s reasonable to assume that Google/Nests -8° outside temperature bug is permanent since all of your customer reviews in googlenestcommunity have not been resolved. Similar in that you haven’t responded at all and/or in a timely fashion.
