I'm away from the condo for the summer months and the thermostat goes into eco mode, 76 degrees. My humidity is 68%. Therefore, how to I lower my echo mode to 74 so I can lower my humidity? I need to do this remotely please.

@Rupaten , open up your Google Home or your Nest app. Add simply go into settings for your thermostat and change it. This, of course, assumes that your thermostat has Wi-Fi access at the remote location. If you have no Wi-Fi access, there’s absolutely no way you can make any changes to your thermostat at your remote vacation home.

@CoolingWizardMy Learning NEST here in Durham NC routinely shows indoor humidity in the 60's, a good 20-25% higher than it really is. I verified the real humidity with a digital hygrometer. Thoughts please?

@JoanneL , the Nest Learning Thermostat has no less than 10 sensors that are used to calculate the air temperature and relative humidity. It tends to be pretty accurate. However, it is influenced by factors such as moisture in the wall behind the thermostat as wells as the air conditioner itself. I can expect a 1% or even a 2% difference, however, not 20% to 25% deviation.

The humidity reads 68% which I feel is too high for the conso located in Charleston, SC. But the wall that the thermostat is installed on is where all of the water pipes travel through for the 3 story condo building. Might those pipes be sweating and causing the higher humidity?

Since we are away, the app goes into Eco Mode and will not allow me to set the temperature below 76. If I select Comfort mode, it just cycles back to Eco in a short amount of time. I'd like to get the humidity level down!
