Controlling to main thermostat 80 degrees until 4 pm when controlls remote temp sensor to 83 degrees.  If I set eco to 80 degrees, what happens when i am away after 4 pm?  Will my system control remote sensor to 80 or 83?

Hi Grider,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Google Nest Community.

The Nest Thermostat has a feature that could remember your previous settings and temperature changes. When you set your Eco temperature correctly, there's no need for you to change it manually and you can monitor your thermostat via the Google Home app when you're not at home.

You could check the Eco temperature setting and have it set up on you'd like your thermostat to do and let us know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,  Thanks for the reply.  I finally just turned eco temps off.  The reason is that I am controlling via different remote temp sensors at different times of the day.  while 80 would be a good eco temp while controlling on one of the sensors, it is way too low for the other sensor (4 degree temp diff between rooms).  The whole system is just a bit too restrictive to be very useful ... kind of frustrating because its soooo close to being a great system.  if different eco temps could be assigned to different remote temp sensors ... and if the sensor schedule wasnt limited to fixed time blocks ... this system would rock. With the current limitations, though ... not so useful. . . looking into other brands now.
