Eco hold won’t lower past 76.

We just got the thermostat yesterday so I’m still trying to feel it out. We’ve found out that the temperature changes by itself, I understand why it does. But we want to hold a certain temperature and I read that I need to select eco and select a temperature and hit hold. I can only get the temperature to hold at 76 but we want it at 71, how do I that?

If you want a constant temperature of 71, first turn off the smart features (Home/Away Assist, presence sensing, Eco).  Then the Nest will function as a regular programmable thermostat.  Set up a schedule in which every set point has a temperature of 71.  Then the Nest will always aim at 71.

Jkirk, I'm chiming in to ensure you're all good here. How's it going with your thermostat now?
