Confirmed with Support. Energy history is tied to a device ID. Change of device = lost of history.
1. Energy history needs to be stored to user's Google account, and transferable to any new or replacement device, at the User's option. (Google Takeout... does not jive, particularly if the data is already deleted or there is not a import option).
2. Replacement device requires full setup. Configuration and data from prior device should be transferable to new device in less than 3 steps, and eliminate causing user/installer to complete the full setup process on new device. Also eliminates the learning period that already occurred with the first device.
3. Full Reset of device should not necessarily cause all historic energy data to be deleted. Only the device itself should be cleared. This should be a user option.
