Same issue here - my app just randomly decide to not show usage history last week. Been blank ever since. Through lots of googling it would appear this has been a known issue for over 2 years! When are you going to fix it Google?!
I am having the same problem as the OP.
No summary is showing in the app but details are there if you click on any individual day. As is the case with the OP the summary is showing on the thermostat.
The summary for 17 December is showing but every day after that shows No usage, but click on the day and it shows.
Do Nest look at this site???
It is now January 5th 2022 and it seems like we are being ignored on this issue for months now?!! I’m trying very hard not to rip my Unsmart nest thermostat out of my wall, toss in the trash and go with another brand. Why is it taking so long for Google nest to roll out some type of firmware release or to simply revert back the damage they’ve done to our thermostat.
I’m also having troubles with my nest thermostats constantly going offline on the nest app and this problem started just about the same time my energy history disappeared!?! CAN SOMEONE AT GOOGLE NEST PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE ISSUES!!!!!!!!
I have exactly the same problem. It was working up until the middle of December, now it only works on the odd day here or there. Might try a warranty call as it was only bought in October and isn't delivering what was promised.
Well the summary having stopped on 18 December 2021 started showing again in the app 14 January.
The only thing I did was to switch it onto my 5g WiFi signal. The summary showed in part the next day, in full the following day but lost again the day after. The thermostat is probably at the extreme range for 5g signal so I switched it back to the 2.4g signal which has greater range.
So far its been working normally again.
Was this what fixed it? I don’t really know. Or was it something Google/Nest did? Who knows.
But if you have a dual band WiFi it may be worth a try.
My reports started working again on the 17th Jan with no input from me. I haven't changed anything to do with my router or my best account, but magically it has started working all on its own. I would hazard a guess that the issue isn't with the user.
Have same problem as all of you. Data resides on Thermostat but not passed on to the app.
purchased in October had an issue with WiFi not connecting. Google replaced. Just installed refurb. It’s been a few days and now I have no history data . Should have stayed with my Honeywell old fashioned rotating Thermo Dial
I’m on the phone with Google Nest support about this issue. They are completely clueless and can’t figure out the fix for this issue. After he kept asking a supervisor, and telling me to sign out of app, reset Nest, etc. I just gave up. I figure it’s a Google Nest app problem and I’ll throw it in the garbage and get an old fashioned “DUMB” thermostat.
It’s been over a month since I last vented my frustration with the energy history not showing up on my nest app. I’m almost afraid to mention because I don’t want to jinx it, but a few days ago my energy history started showing up again on the nest app. I hope it continues to work and I also hope it’ll start working for you all experiencing this annoying issue!

For 2nd April- iPhone showing no history, whilst the wall stat recorded 4.5 hrs.
Sort it out Google! You are letting down your community and what should be an excellent product.

I am also still experiencing this issue. After reading about this issue back in January, I had decided to do nothing (other than signing in/out of Google and resetting the thermostat). Anyone still not seeing history in the app or is it just me?
Same boat as everyone else (data on thermostat but nothing on nest / home apps). I think it's been well over a year with this problem. 1 thermostat working fine, other not. Both on latest firmware. Its pretty critical piece of functionality for a 'smart' devices data to be visible to users.
I’ve got the same issue - it started in September 2022 so 9 months after many of the posts below. Nest support say it’s a known issue with no fix that they know of. Anyone know another more reliable thermostat with really good tech support?
I’m having the same issue. It had worked for the 4 months since install, but thi weekend the thermostat shut down (E74 code) and we couldn’t use the system until a tech could come out on Monday. I have had two other techs from the same company tell me the best is garbage and to insist on a Honeywell. (I didn’t ask for the nest, it came with new HVAC.) The tech swore the nest was a great thermostat and convinced me to keep it after he changed a couple of things got it working again. Since then the app doesn’t record history, even though thermostat does. Frustrated with Google lack of support.
