Existing Nest won't connect to new router

I have an existing Nest Gen 3 that I've been using for several years. I just replaced my router and while al my other devices have connected properly the Nest refuses to accept the new password. I've tried it several times, and even tried variations with no luck. I recorded my new password when I set the router up and got my phone to connect but all subsequent devices automatically connected when I attempted to go wifi. For this reason I am not 100% sure that I actually used the PW I recorded.

The router is a TP Link and my devices are all Apple, phones, pad and computer. I'm confident that the stat will function, but the screen only shows the error message and nothing I've tried seems to have helped.

And I self answered the question. Apparently it was necessary to reboot the thermostat. I unplugged it and after I reinserted it everything decided to cooperate. I didn't even need to enter any passwords. The unit is functioning as intended.
