Hi, I have been using my Nest 3rd generation learning thermostat for approximately 15 months, but yesterday the boiler stopped working for no apparent reason. I checked the nest thermostat which displayed a communication error with the heat link. I checked the heat link which is powered from the boiler electrics and there were no light showing. I investigated further and there was a power supply to the unit but no lights were showing on the link.
I tried to reset by repowering and also manual reset plus switch over to manual control but all was dead. It appears that the heat link has failed like so many others.
I am expecting a replacement and need to know what the procedure is to claim under warranty.

Best way just ring Nest, much quicker than waiting for an answer here.
