hello,

my nest fan keeps running continuously. I’ve taken it off the wall and it stops. I’ve also shut down the hvac at the breaker. Nothing seems to reset it. It used to work but it has been an issue recently and I’ve seen an increase in my electric bill because of this!

thank you for your help.

Hi toodles33,

Oh no! Sorry to hear that, and I thank you for being ahead of the troubleshooting steps. Let me take a closer look at this for you.

Please gather the power readings of your Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd generation's Battery, VOC, VIN, and lIN under Settings > Technical Info > Power. If the air filter is dirty and needs to be changed, replace the air filter and let us know if the same thing continues after they change the filter. Refer to the article of Air filters and filter reminders for more. Also, to isolate this more if this is caused by your thermostat or your HVAC system, reinstall your previous thermostat if you still have it.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Zoe
