Fan operation not available on Nest thermostat

For several years my Fan icon was visible and I could keep the furnace fan on all day. This winter it wasn’t showing on the screen and only operated when furnace is running. I’d like control back!

Hello Sylvia6,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry.

You might have had a Fan Schedule running when it was set on Heat mode. Have you checked your fan settings to see if they were set to auto when in Cool mode?

No sign of Fan logo anywhere ! Doesn’t come on whether heating or cooling. It was so easy to have it on but no control now. Has Neet changed their policy on this?

Hi Dan Thanks for checking. Still no Fan available and I am not very happy about this. I am beginning to think people are right in saying that Google is deciding about whether we see this or not. Why did this function just disappear as if erased/ deleted and so I cannot control my own home’s  heating/ cooling?! Very strange.

It's me again. I understand that this can be frustrating, but I'd love to know more about it.

Could you help us share a photo of the Quick View Menu on your thermostat's screen? Also, a picture of your thermostat's wiring. Please check its base and make sure that the fan wire is connected properly and the tab is pushed down.
