- When did the issue start?
- Have you experienced any other unusual symptoms since the problem began?
- Are you seeing any error messages? If so, what do they say exactly?
- Is this a new installation? If yes, have you checked your HVAC system's compatibility with your Nest thermostat using the Compatibility Checker tool?
- Does the issue occur with heating only, cooling only, or both?
- Do you have a common ground wire or C wire?
- When was the last time your HVAC system was serviced?
