Gas Fireplace

Cindielou
Community Member

I have a gas fireplace that I controlled the temperature with a simple two wire thermostat. I have the Nest hooked up with a 24 volt Transformer as a Common wire and the temperature wire hooked up. The nest doesn't recognize my type of heating. It's not Forced air, it's not Radiant Baseboards and It's not Radiant floor. What do I set it to?

Thank you,

Cindie

Hello Cindielou,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd be happy to take a look into this for you.

To see whether your equipment will work with a Nest Thermostat. Could you share with us a photo of your old thermostat's wiring setup? What Nest Thermostat model do you have? Also, please tell us the make and model of your heating system.

I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Mark
