I recently replaced the Next Thermostat / 3rd gen - keep getting disconnected from wifi constantly ...
have reset the thermostat various times ... reconnected to the account .. reset the wifi connection various times ... power is no issue as the thermostat is wired ... wifi rececption (location: hallway) is indicated as good.
Despite all that I keep getting constantly disconnected ...

I'm just another Google Nest customer and we do NOT have a Nest thermostat, but if you previously had a Nest thermostat that was working in that location, and your new Nest thermostat keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi, perhaps you should consider contacting Support:
1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Can you post a picture of how the Nest is wired and if you still have it, one showing how the original thermostat was wired?
