Dont buy this product, isn’t a reliable product, don’t waste your money!

We recently changed our modem, and modem password, and now the nest doesn’t connect to our wifi. It never picks up any networks at all. Another problem is it never stays charged, it dies within a few hours of being on our wall.

 
Its been very frustrating, I’ve tried everything possible that I have read on the Nest app, and online from other people. I’ve reset, turned of modem, erased nest app, and downloaded again. Nothing is working!!!!

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear about what's happening.

 

One clear thing that makes your thermostat unable to detect WiFi is it's battery charge level. Could you check the wiring and let us know if you have a C (common wire) connected? You could also try to remove the thermostat from the base and charge it using a USB charger for at least an hour and then try to detect a WiFi network again.
