Google Nest thermostat

Help! I have preset schedules for the day but whenever it gets really cold my heat takes FOREVER to turn on. For several hours it will tell me it is preheating then just randomly cuts on hours after it was supposed to have been at a certain temperature. I’ve set early on in the settings and presence setting on hoping to avoid this but it still happens. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue? My little one and I are currently  freezing and I can’t get the heat on. Thanks!

Try doing a reset on the heat link box and thermostat. Reset heat link by pressing and holding the big button in middle of the box until quickly flashes green and orange and release, reset thermostat by pressing and holding it til it goes off and release.
