Google Nest will not connect to app after factory reset

Our Google Nest Learning Thermostat continues to give an error message every time we try to connect the thermostat to the Nest App.  We have tried resetting the thermostat several times and also tried the factory reset several times, however we continue to get the same error message that the thermostat can not connect to the Nest App.  We tested our internet connection and reset our router several times and we are still unable to connect to the app.

Try removing the app and re-start the setup. Hopefully it will reconnect.

I have the same issue.  We changed wifi, the directives told me to remove the thermostat icon then add the device one more time.  I go through all the motions, scan the QR code, etc. The system cannot locate it.

What other suggestions are there?
