About 4+ weeks ago after returning from a trip, my Nest app would no longer allow me to sign into my account using the email and password I had set and saved more than 6 years ago. I attempted to sign-in multiple times to no success, each time it would suggest to sign-in with Google which I rejected multiple times. Finally, in desperation, I allowed it to link to Google, which apparently means you agree to migrate to Google w/o any notice or warning. Anyone else experience this lately. I am not attorned but it seems like Google is doing something stealthily with their software to force migrations which could make a good case for a class action when they promised that we could keep our old nest accounts as long as we wanted. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Hey tkline,
Sorry to hear what you've been through and I completely understand where you're coming from.
Our migration process is optional and you should be able to keep your Nest accounts as it is. Rest assured that we'll take your experience as feedback ― we'll learn from it to deliver a better one in the future.
Best,
Melba
