Google nest no longer learning

At one point i could control my nest via the nest app. Then when maintained via google home this was no longer. And when i try to scan QR code to connect to Google home i get "unable to pair device, configuration not available". Any advice appreciated

Hey there oscar2504, 

Sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with connecting your thermostat, I know it can be frustrating but I'm happy to look into this for you.

Just a few questions here:

  • Aside from the message that you are getting, is there any error code showing on the app?
  • What is the operating system of the device that you are using?
  • Have you tried another device and see if you are getting the same message?

Troubleshooting: 

  • Quit and restart the Nest or Google Home app.
  • Toggle the Bluetooth radio off or on.
  • Make sure assisting product is awake and it is within distance.
  • Try manually entering the entry key instead of scanning.
  • Try a different mobile device.
