Google nest unable to connect to service? Checked wigi and all but it seems external issue?

Unable to connect to the Nest service. It's been a while so don't know what the issue is and why?

It looks like downtime detector shows there is an issue using Nest app on phone and on the website

I am having the same issue and so is my neighbour it will not connect on the app or through safari
