this is my nest the heat link inthe bin

Which model is that, the stand is from a 2nd generation, but I can’t tell the thermostat model from the picture?

It a gen 2

Thought it was by the stand.

You will be very lucky to find a 2nd Gen Heat Link, but they do come up on Ebay now and then. I would only buy a 2nd Gen if really really cheap on there.

However, the 3rd Gen Heat Link does work with the 2nd Gen display for heating only. They pair the same way. Obviously with the 2nd Gen display it does not have the function for hot water. Again have a look on ebay, but the average price is about £60. Juts buy from a seller who list's correctly showing the Heat Link fully working..

What area are you located?

Thanks fir the heads up Its for heating, i ma in north ireland

Yes the 2nd Gen only does Heating, where as the 3rd does both.

NI to far away to give you help, I always ask in case you could be local to me.

Just had a quick browse on Ebay, and found this, which is cheap and could get you out of trouble. Listed as faulty, but I have had these in the past, and 9/10 it's where installers have connected 240v into the 12v. They work fine, but no 12v output, so you have to use wireless.
