Heating just stops

I’ve had the neat learning thermostat for a few years.  About a month ago, I touched the thermostat and I gave it. Big shock from static . The thermostat restarted but since then, it randomly stops heating.  The thermostat is still on and set to the desired temp but the house gets very cold,  last night the thermostat was set at  73 but the house temp was 66.  If I turn the thermostat off and on, it starts working properly.  Any suggestions? I was thinking of rebooting it

I suggest that you perform in internal restart process; not just a power cycle.   My Nest has stopped sending a heat demand signal to my furnace a few times lately, after a year of no issue, even though it shows Orange as if it is running.   I have had to remove from backplane and perform full restart to get unit to correct.
