Heatlink Installation Location

Hi all,

Just reading the installation instructions for the Nest and it states you should install the heatlink at least 30cm away from the boiler. 

My boiler is in a cupboard so it would have to be closer but I can get 10-15cm distance maximum from the boiler. Do you think this would be ok? What is the reason for the 30cm guidance?

30cm is the recommended distance away to avoid interference from any metal objects, ie the boiler. I would say give it a go, and if that does not work, then think of an alternative position. The Heat Link can be fitted anywhere really, [just extend the cables] but just avoid large metal objects, and DECT phones.
