I installed the heatlink and the thermostat and the connection between them it's good (heetlink green light, thermostat shows temperature and all) but when i give the command to change the temperature up ,the thermostat says that it will heat up to that temp in x minutes , the heatlink "click"s but the boiler doesn,t start.
When i click on the button from the heatlink (manual mode) the boiler starts.
Can you help me?

What connections are you using at the Heat Link, and what type of boiler - combi/system??

A combi one - Baxi Eco Luna 24kW - an old one .. until now i was using a Computherm thermostat which worked fine ... in fact still works (i installed it back) i jut wired the wires to the heatlink in 2/3 ports

That connection is correct for the Combi boiler
I assume you also linked between Live in and term 2?
Have you a neon tester or anything to test the contacts?
Can you uplaod a pic of the connections you used?

I have a neon tester but what puzzles me is that it works fine on the old one (Computherm) - the same wires ..

OK with the neon, put onto term 2 and just check you have power to that terminal.
Then put neon onto term 3 and that should be dead when NOT calling for heat, and then put neon onto term 1 and that should be live.
Then, turn stat up to call for heat and you should hear a click, and the term 3 should be live, and term 1 should be dead.
Sometimes you can find the conatcts not closing, this just proves they are or not!

I'll try that ... thank you .. but why .. when pressing the button on the heatlink .. the boiler starts! Aren't the same both wires involved in that command?
04-23-2022 06:08 AM
Yes they are.
I always start from the beginning to prove everything is working correctly.
When you press the heat link button and it fires up is odd, if everything is wired correctly.
You are 100% sure you are using 2-3 NOT 5-6???
Upload a pic if you can of the connections

yep ... they're on 2-3

........................and the loop from Live to term 2 is where?
04-23-2022 06:32 AM
There are no more wires ... that's it

That could well be the reason why it's not working me thinks!
You need a loop from Live to Term 2.

...hang on, where does term 2 come from, where is that connected the other end?
Term 3 where is that connected to the other end also?

I think this is my case
04-23-2022 09:03 AM
You will need in that case to confirm that's your connection from the boiler.
You might have a low voltage dry contact connection, but you need to check further now.
Normal Combi boilers are wired as mentioned.

makes sense .. i'll check the contacts in the boiler .. clean them and i'll be back 🙂 thank you again
