I have an electric heat pump and trying to figure out the wiring for Nest E thermostat.
My current thermostat has 7 wires
Red
Black
White
Yellow
Green
Orange
Blue.
Nest E thermostat only has 6 connectors. Will this thermostat work?

It appears that you have a Trane system with emergency heat. Correct?
Typically, you would want to use one of the Learning Thermostats, as they can handle all the features your current thermostat supports.
If you really want to use the Nest Thermostat E, you can wire it in this way, but you will lose the emergency heat option.
Red - R to R
Black - W2/X2 - Emergency Heat tape off
White - W1 to W1 ( set as AUX Heat)
Yellow - Y to Y1
Green - G to G
Orange - O to */OB
Blue - B to C

Thats exactly what I have. Any way I returned the Nest E and purchased a 3rd gen Nest learning thermostat. Just waiting for delivery. Hopefully connecting will be easier? Thanks
