I currently have an Ecobee thermostat and plan to switch to the Nest. I wired it as I understood from instructions and internet resources. The heat worked fine but the AC did not work. What did I do wrong? How should the wires be connected? Photos are of the current Ecobee wiring and wiring at the furnace.

Hi Jenmc26,
Thanks for posting here in the Community forum and for showing interest in our Nest Thermostats.
You may use our Compatibility Checker tool to identify the compatibility of your Ecobee thermostat wires to our Nest Thermostats.
Let us know if that helps.
Best,
Zoe

Thanks for posting here in the Community forum, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let me take a look at this for you.
What type of Nest Thermostat did you install? Also, please send us a photo of how you connected the thermostat wires to the Nest Thermostat base.
I'll look forward to your response.

I think I have the Nest Smart Programmable Wifi Thermostat. I don't have a photo of the wiring since I had to reinstall my old Ecobee thermostat in order to use the AC.
Can you provide instructions on how the wiring should be given the photo of the Ecobee?

Hello Jenmc26,
Thanks for getting back to us. Since the Nest Thermostat doesn't have a PEK terminal, could you help us instead with a photo of your HVAC control board where the other end of the wires are connected? It will help me better to determine the labels of your system.
Regards,
Zoe
