I have a HoneywellTH8321 currently and purchased the Nest Learning thermostat but it has a unique configuration with two jumper wires from U1 to R and another jumper from R to Rc - it also has a second U1 with an orange wire..
My assumption is:
C to C
Rc to R
W to W1
Y to Y1
G to G
U1 to * (this is the bottom orange wire)
What do i do with the two jumper wires? (U1 to R) and (R to Rc)

Hi TNewsom82,
Thanks for visiting the Google Nest community. Let's check this out. An orange wire can be a reverse valve wire if you have a heat pump, but we cannot confirm it as of yet. One way to check it is by going into your HVAC control board and checking where the orange wire is connected on the control board. This will give us more information about the wire functionality and allow us to use it effectively.
Keep us posted.
Cheers,
Renz
